Oakland (MI) Golden Grizzlies @ Ohio State Buckeyes

What: Oakland (MI) Golden Grizzlies @ Ohio State Buckeyes

When: Thursday, December 23rd; 8:00 p.m. ET

Where: Value City Arena

Television: Big Ten Network

Grizzlies' Record: 7-7

Let's forget about the morbid news of the day, at least for a few hours, and enjoy some quality Ohio State basketball. The Golden Grizzlies have had success against name programs in the past few weeks, playing Michigan State close and defeating Tennessee. They are led in scoring by guard Reggie Hamilton, and, in a bit of a shock, center Keith Benson. The 6''11 Benson averages a shade over 17 points a game, and also leads the team in rebounds with a tick over 10 per game. As far as mid-majors go, Oakland should provide a better challenge than many of Ohio State's previous opponents. Enjoy the game!

Go Bucks; Beat the Grizzlies!

Glad

that we are taking care of business here. This is a squad that beats some decent teams, and loses some close ones against a few respectable, and will likely make the dance.

I think we’re a bit better than that. Can’t know until conference play, but this team is off to the best start since 1990-91.

Yeah

I didn’t catch the first half, but after reading ESPN’s recap and checking out the Game Flow…for some reason, I am always drawn to that feature…I think I would have had a different opinion. But, six in double figures is nice against a team that took down Tennessee and played very well against Illinois and took Michigan State, though they’ve struggled, to the wire. Hats off to Oakland, who have played a very hard schedule to this point. We’ve seen players really stand out and take control of the game and it was nice to see spreading of the production. Basketball is a relatively long season and I’m glad to see several people score.

That was supposed to be a reply.

That’s really the biggest surprise of this season. The team had so many freshman that the depth and chemistry was going to be a question mark, but it’s turned out to be a strength.
