Game Notes
- Mark Rea of Scout.com again made his annual visit to Woody's grave before the Michigan game. See what he had to say before The Game begins.
- Reserve Michigan linebacker Brennan Beyer will miss the game. He is Michigan's 4th man at the position, and a good blitzer, but they should be fine without him, although their pressure package takes a hit.
- MGoBlog characterizes Orhian Johnson, C.J. Barnett, and Christian Bryant as "crap tacklers and mediocre players," which isn't really accurate. Johnson is a solid tackler but just average in coverage, one McGloin screw up notwithstanding. Barnett is a fine tackler and strong in coverage; Bryant's an inconsistent tackler, excellent in man coverage, and sometimes lost in zone. Travis Howard and poor linebacker play have been the real defensive issues this season. I'm far more worried about Etienne Sabino and Storm Klein tracking Denard Robinson than I am the secondary.
- Brady Hoke is a big Johnny Simon fan. In his press conference last Wednesday, he noted how much he loves watching Simon play.
- Reading a Brady Hoke press conference transcript before The Game is exactly like reading a Jim Tressel transcript before The Game. Eerie.

There are a few rumors floating around that Jim Tressel had something to do with the preparation for this game. I didn’t feel confident enough in the intel to put it in the post, but it can certainly go here.
Would that be illegal if Tress actually did that?

Biggest game of the year. Biggest game of every year. Let’s GOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO BUCKS!

That was double slants, too. It’s designed to work against man. Bad throw by Robinson, good play by Howard.
Wish he wasn’t. I want him to run the ball all the time. I don’t want to see fumbles from Hall and Hyde.

The Corey Brown of the offense is called Philly Brown lol.

I think he failed on him. Too many men to block, Michigan was in man on the backside. He’s got to get rid of the ball. But it’s ok. He’s young.
Damn…no short routes for the WR’s

They are going to run that nonsense all game. We can’t let him get passes us.
Dawgs By Nature - Where winning, apparently, did some bad things.
Fucking bullshit. Fucker jumped offsides 2 plays ago.
Dawgs By Nature - Where winning, apparently, did some bad things.
When Tressel left the streak didn't go with him.
Beat Michigan’s ass for the zillionth time in a row!
We’re talking 9 to 16 points the other way. Fucking bullshit, inserting themselves as the deciding factor and shit.

Posey and Heron playing special teams. If the other guys want this like they do, we can come back

Well we gave them 9 free points there. Let’s hope we can get a score now that they’re punting deep in their territory.

Damn we’re literally talking about an easy 21 points out the window right now.
Dawgs By Nature - Where winning, apparently, did some bad things.
Miller is trying to hard on the long throws that are open. Instead of jusy laying it out there he’s trying to aim it and throw to a spot. His mindset is clearly all about avoiding ints. It’s served us well with our crap offense this year, but if he relaxes a little and opens up he has two long TD throws this game. The kid will be awesome next year. Promise.
It’s gotta be nerves, anyone can make those wide open passes.
Dawgs By Nature - Where winning, apparently, did some bad things.
true freshmen, playing in huge rivalry game
yeah I’d agree it is nerves. He needs to calm down it is the 2Q and it is time to settle in

Dear stupid ass ESPN on ABC, Brady Hoke isn’t a first year head coach. He’s been a head coach since 2003.

Was that drawn up or his he just a genius?
Dawgs By Nature - Where winning, apparently, did some bad things.
I’ve never seen a counter on a faked speed option like that before, that’s why I was wondering.
It worked beautifully.
Dawgs By Nature - Where winning, apparently, did some bad things.
It almost looked like a broken play.
I’m pretty sure it was drawn up, but I’ve never seen that play called. Awesome call.
I think he did it himself. Play looked like it was going to the right.

Wow, that was an amazing play.
I have completely convinced myself that Urban Meyer will be our coach next year and that he’ll turn Miller into an absolute superstar. I mean, he did it with Tebow.
YES My Hometown LB/S is playing WOHOOO. No. 16

No surprise here, they give up a good ass spot.
Dawgs By Nature - Where winning, apparently, did some bad things.
Possession must be established before the ball hits, and then it must be maintained. It’s unclear if that happened, but the call on the field was a catch and there was no camera angle that could confirm or overturn it.
Go fucking ahead. Hand them another god damn one.
Dawgs By Nature - Where winning, apparently, did some bad things.
I know it's the Michigan game and I know you're a passionate fan...
But your conspiracy theories and overreactions are annoying the shit out of me.
Sick of this fellating on the part of Spielman. His loyalties lie with ESPN. Fuck that guy.
Dawgs By Nature - Where winning, apparently, did some bad things.
Crap.
We really need a score before the half. I do not feel good about going in the locker room down 6 and scUM starting with the ball.
Sammy Watkins for Heisman
oh this^
how long has it been since our return teams have struck fear in the other team’s heart?
Ray Small was a total dud as a return man and it really hasn’t been the same since

Come on Miller. Enough w. these high throws.
by Revenge of the Fallen on Nov 26, 2011 1:36 PM EST reply actions
I was literally just yelling that Miller should have cut and run when he threw. He reminds me of Troy Smith’s senior year with his patience in keeping his eyes downfield. He will be truly, truly special.
Did you ever think you'd see a 24-23 halftime score in this rivalry?
That’s a little high for a final score.
INT plz by D. Or force a 3 and out.

How clutch is Brax?
Wisconsin. Rolls to his right and throws a beautiful ball across his body for the game winning TD. Purdue, does the exact same thing but the PAT is blocked. End of the half against michigan, EXACT SAME THING to go up 1.
When is the last time we had a damn good weakside 43LB? Marcus Freeman?
Only WOLB that I remember who was good.

Doubt it. Ryan Sch is a beast playing weakside.
