Around SBN: The Week In Worst: When Baseball Goes Wrong

"Cowboys wide receiver Dez Bryant received about $200,000 in jewelry, on credit, while playing at Oklahoma State University, according to court documents.

If true, that could be a violation of NCAA amateurism rules, said Kevin Fite, associate athletic director for compliance at OSU. Fite said the school is notifying the NCAA about the matter.

"Receiving benefits or loans based on potential earnings is a violation," Fite said. "We're going to look at it, and any information we need to provide to the NCAA, we will."

Where are the national media on this story? I assume that a bill of sale or promissary note would be an easy indictment.

It’s not Ohio State, USC or even the SEC. Nobody cares about those Cowboys, it doesn’t sell ads or get clicks.
