Ohio State Buckeyes (6-6)
- Stadium Journey reviewed Everbank Field. Impressions? A fairly average stadium whose most distinguishing quality is the number of churches that litter the adjoining streets.
- Jake Stoneburner remains a game-time decision. Even if he plays, Fickell indicated that it would only be in certain packages and not as a starter. Stoneburner's absence would matter more if Ohio State ever threw to him, so as such, it's not a big deal.
- Tackle Matt Patchan was ruled out for the Gators earlier in the week, leaving redshirt freshman Chaz Green and Xavier Nixon as the starters. Nixon was benched earlier in the season for poor play.
- True freshman Steve Miller may figure into Ohio State's pressure packages. He's had strong bowl practices, and Ohio State has lacked edge pressure since Nathan Williams was lost for the year. With Florida's offensive line issues, we could have a Miller breaking out on each side of the ball.
- Prediction Time. Ben: Ohio State 33 - Florida 24. Chip: Ohio State 24 - Florida 14. Tyler: Florida 24 - Ohio State 17

To be honest Im not enthusiastic about this game at all…I think Florida will probably win, Im dreading listening to the announcers go on and on about the ‘urban Meyer’ thing…and most importantly, I honestly do believe that because they chose to play this essentially meaningless game, it impacted the sanctions handed down by the NCAA for next year.
I’m going to watch, but I don’t care too much. I want to win, but I won’t be devastated with a loss. (But then we’ll be 0-10 vs. SEC teams in bowl games. Because the Sugar Bowl “didn’t happen.”)

Did anyone have as bad a sports year in 2011 as me? I’m interested. Obviously Buckeyes, my Redskins and Capitals. I’m sure there’s some Browns fans on here.
Well I’m a Browns, Cavs, Blue Jackets and Ohio State fan, so I think I might have you. I had the Indians who had a better year than most expected, my EPL team Tottenham who finished fifth in the league but that was still a bit disappointing, and the Columbus Crew who probably played better than expected as well after going young.
At least OSU basketball is doing well. The Cavs are looking alright to start the season. OSU football will be back.

Oh yeah, I’m not too down about it. Cavs are still bad but are so much easier to watch. Bucks bball looks strong. I’m really excited for the Tribe this year (as I’m sure you are). I’m even already looking forward to the Browns. If they have a good draft and training camp, who knows.
At least Kyrie and Thompson look promising. Excited for the Tribe as well.

Well they made it happen and outplayed OSU either way. I’m just glad this season is over. I think things will be better for both teams going forward.

Well, if there’s any consolation we already know where we’re going…and they know where they’re staying.
Well, we aren’t staying anywhere. Once we get passed the numbers issues (thanks to Meyers style of recruiting) we’ll be great.

Mainly due to the fact that we won’t be competing for a championship next season and maybe not even a big 10 title. I view next season as much better but also a transition.

Yeah, to go along with what you said, the 1st year with Meyer as coach isn’t when he makes his move anyway. It’s always the 2nd year that he has great success.
