Stewart Mandel Profiles Urban Meyer and His Recruiting Prowess
My favorite line?
"The question I have is, do we have that dynamic player on offense?" said Meyer. "Where's the Ted Ginns of the world? Were they hiding [last] year? I hope we have those guys. That's a big concern of mine right now."
Using Ted Ginn as an example shows a certain awareness and appreciation for Ohio State's history. When Lane Kiffin began working at Tennessee, he decorated the Volunteer athletic complex with memorabilia and references from his time at USC. It was disrespectful to Tennessee, which owns an impressive athletic tradition in its own right.
Urban Meyer, so far, has deliberately avoided any such digs at his predecessors.

I don't think I have heard any digs against the Vest by other coaches.
The closest was Urban’s support of the stiff sanctions.
The fan bases are another thing.
They wanted the Vest gone.
The Vest is gone.
Welcome to life with Urban, suckas!
